Edith leaves behind a legacy cherished by her four children: Jeffrey (Joanne), Bruce (Nancy), Daniel, and
Candice, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She reunites in spirit with her beloved
husband Thomas and is preceded in death by her dear brother John (Jane) and her sister Marilyn (Joseph).
Born on February 12th, 1923, in Pasacack, New Jersey, to parents John and Mary D’Eletto, Edith's journey
unfolded with purpose. Her dedication to the nursing profession led her to graduate from nursing school and answer the call of duty in the United States Army as a Registered Nurse. Stationed in Karachi, India, during the turbulence of World War II, she steadfastly served until the war's end.
In 1947, Edith embraced the warmth of South Florida as her home, embarking on a 35-year nursing career that left an indelible mark. Beyond her professional achievements, she was a beacon of love as a Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend. Edith's passions were as vibrant as her spirit – from her fondness for poker to her moments basking in the sun, and her appreciation for the finer moments with Johnny Walker Black.
Edith's life was a masterpiece woven with the threads of wisdom, shared through her words and actions. A true matriarch, she lived for her family, imparting invaluable lessons that will endure through generations.
