

Elizabeth Ann Fassig-Bayer, a devoted and compassionate soul, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on September 21, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of George Austin and Elsie Palmer (Pressley) Kerrigan, who have predeceased her.
Elizabeth's early life in Brooklyn was marked by her dedication to education, earning a bachelor's degree that paved the way for a career in education. She spent much of her professional life as an Operations Supervisor at the Social Security Administration, where she was known for her faithful service and kind-hearted nature.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husbands, William Fassig and James Bayer. She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Laura Fassig of Cooper City, Florida; her daughter Mary Ellen Piscatello and son William Fassig, both of Tallahassee, Florida; and her daughter-in-law Regina Fassig, also of Tallahassee. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Shawn Fassig of Tallahassee, Anthony Macaluso and his wife Michelle of St. Petersburg, Florida, Gina Siler and her husband Steven of Tryon, North Carolina, and Karae Burnett and her husband Colby of Tallahassee. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Kerrigan Burnett of Tallahassee, Shealyn Macaluso of Tryon, and Johnny Macaluso of St. Petersburg.
A visitation will be held on November 24, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home, located at 1 North State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063. A prayer service will follow from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at the same venue. The committal service will take place at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, at 2:00 pm.
Elizabeth will be fondly remembered for her compassionate spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends.
