“Anything is possible.” That is what Patricia A. Motil believed about life. She was a creative woman, a perpetual inventor, who seemed to be able to find a solution for any difficulty confronting her. She had faith in her ability to find those solutions. Patricia thoroughly enjoyed understanding how things worked. She possessed an inquisitive, confident, and rational nature matched with a versatile and agile mind. Patricia was a person who believed that she could achieve whatever she set out to do.
Her parents were Alex Duratz and Irene Daughtery. She showed her ingenuity even as a child. When she was confronted with a problem, Patricia could develop an imaginative solution, and she derived satisfaction from knowing she had that ability. She was devoted to her family and made sure that her parents were taken care of at all times.
Patricia's remarkable talent for being inventive influenced her relationship with her children. She would create original, clever and fun games for her kids and had a knack for finding ways to make everyday events. Patricia was blessed with three children, Robert (deceased), Theresa and Timothy. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Phillip, Kevin and Katie Abrams. Patricia had many friends who she shared her times with, especially her two friends Pat and Patty. They were known as the three Pats. One of her best friends was her dog Mitzie, and each of them shared unconditional love. Someone who was quick to laugh, Patricia found it easy to spend lots of time with her children and grandchildren, they were the love of her life.
Patricia's talents were well suited for being actively involved with her religion, something she did throughout her life. She enjoyed being involved and was a devoted Catholic church member.
During her lifetime, nothing appeared impossible to Patricia. She met the words “it can’t be done” with the enthusiastic challenge of a “wanna bet” attitude. Patricia was able to recognize the possibilities a new idea held, even when those around her could not. For Patricia, the traditional way of doing things fell short of her expectations, especially if there were original and untested methods for handling a challenge. For Patricia A. Motil, the fun of living her life could be found in the challenge. She never thought twice of speaking her mind, and always did what she wanted to do.
Patricia loved to travel, especially on cruises. She went on well over 50 cruises during her life time and loved to take a gamble on things she did. She was very generous with her money and loved to give to family and friends. As previously discussed she had that "wanna bet" attitude which she would take with her to the casino, she loved her slot machines and the thrill of a gamble.
