Robert Thomas Rogers

DECEMBER 10, 1925 – AUGUST 26, 2021

Robert Thomas ROGERS, age 95, of North Lauderdale, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Robert was born December 10, 1925.

Robert (Bob) Rogers was born in Massachusetts. He joined the Navy with his twin brother Richard (Dick) at 17 where they fought for the U.S. in WWII on the same ship (USS Pasadena). He spent the first half of his adulthood in “The Bronx” New York, where he and his brother worked at the NYC Sanitation Dept and then they became NYPD officers for 20+ years. Bob and his wife Helen had four children, Bob Jr., Janie, Colleen, and Karen. Eventually, Bob and Helen ventured to South Florida with their family where he worked as an Investigator for American Express.

His brother Dick and his family moved to Florida to be near Bob’s family shortly thereafter. Bob retired from American Express and worked for the US Postal Service where he retired “AGAIN” in 1997.

He loved Bowling, Donuts, Coffee, Classical Music, and Westerns, and Comedies. He has a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his four children, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his twin brother Dick, who he never lived more than a mile away from his whole life. They were pre-deceased by their sister Mildred. He also has numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Bob was blessed with a beautiful family:

- His son Bobby and his former wife Chris and their daughters Mackenzie and Kendall.

- Janie and her husband Armando have a blended family. Michael, Cristy and her husband Kevin, and their children Olivia and Andrew, and Georgie and her fiancé Jose.

- Colleen and Kenny and their children: Christopher and his wife Julia and their two children Christopher and Michael. Sean and his wife Amanda and their two children Julian and Daniel. Katie and her husband Alec.

- Karen and her husband Dave with their daughter Helena.

A funeral service for Robert will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1 North State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063, followed by a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
