Rocco D Ciccone

Rocco Dominic Ciccone entered into Holy rest on November 17th 2011, it was his 87th birthday. Rocco was at home with his loving wife, Maude Pearl-Ciccone surrounded by friends and family at his residence in Ft. Lauderdale. He died peacefully and painlessly after a long battle with illness. Rocco is preceded by his parents Michelina and Gaetano Ciccone of Alquippa, PA and his son, Randy. A graduate of the University of Miami, Rocco held a BA in Engineering and also served proudly in the United States Navy as a motor machinist mate second class from 1943-1946. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion in Florida. He worked locally for IBM as an electrical engineer and later took a position with Motorola. Rocco also worked as a security guard at Sunrise Towers for many years. Rocco is survived by his brother Silvio, his wife Joan of Michigan and two sons, Dana, his wife Janet of Ohio and Mark of California. 2 stepsons, Steven, his wife Susan; Jeffrey his wife Christine of Newburgh and 8 grandchildren: Amanda, Aressa, David, Eowyn, Eric, Jeremy, Nicole, Stefanie and Timothy, 3 Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held on December 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 706 route 9W North, Newburgh,NY12550.
