Donald W. Malone

Donald Wayne Malone passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, with his family at his side following a courageous battle against cancer. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Tim 4:7

Don was born April 19, 1953 in Atlanta, GA, to Lee and Virginia (Jenny) Malone. He was an active member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta and a member of the McKinney Maples Sunday School Class. Don was a graduate of Dykes High School in Atlanta, began his college career at the University of South Carolina, and graduated from Florida State University. Don's passion in life was his family, closely followed by his love of fly fishing.

Don is preceded in death by his father, Lee B. Malone. Survivors are his loving wife of 35 years, Pamela (Pam) Brazeal Malone, daughter Lindsay Malone Wood and son-in-law Jason Wood of Doylestown, PA. Other family members include mother Virginia (Jenny) Malone of Marietta, brother Ken Malone of Middleburg, FL, sister Carolyn Powell (Phil) of Clover, SC, brothers-in-law Mike Brazeal (Karen) of Aiken, SC and John Roby Harrell of Austell, GA, in-laws John and Frances Harrell of Austell, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Don's memory.
