Born on August 21, 1951, in Marietta, Georgia, Doyle lived a life marked by quiet strength and a love for the simple joys. Doyle had a lifelong love of basketball. He loved watching basketball games and always had a basketball in his hands. The basketball only left his hands when he was enjoying a hamburger and chocolate milkshake. That simple image captures much of his spirit, because Doyle appreciated the things he loved and embraced them fully.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Clackum, and his sister, Janice Humphries.
Doyle is survived by his brother, Chris P. Clackum, and Chris’s wife, Kamela, of Lugoff. He also leaves behind two nephews, Benjamin and Remington Clackum of Lugoff, and two nieces, Alexandria Warren and Sterling Clackum of Lugoff. His presence will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
Though his passing leaves a deep emptiness, Doyle’s life stands as a reminder of the value of steadfastness, family ties, and the pleasures found in the simple things in life. His life was not defined by grandeur, but the enduring impact of being himself. In that way, he leaves behind a legacy that is both humble and lasting.
Those who knew Doyle will remember his love of basketball and his enjoyment of a good hamburger and chocolate milkshake. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
