

James Henry Little, Sr., age 87 of Canton, passed away on Sunday, May 28th at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. He was a devoted husband, wonderful father and grandfather, loving son and brother, and loyal friend. James was born and raised on a farm in Canton. He was the best storyteller. He served our country in Germany following the end of World War II. He also talked about his time there and all the wonderful people he met and all the things he learned while there. He was a successful businessman. He always had at least one business venture going, usually a few. He was a charter member at St. Paul UMC in Marietta, GA., a mason and a Shriner. He loved kids, all kids, but especially his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He loved to hunt, fish and to grow things and just being outdoors. He was always learning. He was wise and kind and gentle. He was so much to us. He will live in our hearts forever. The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30th from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, May31st at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McRae and Rev. Bobby Morris officiating. A graveside service and interment will take place on Friday, June 2nd at 2:00p.m. at Kennesaw Memorial Park. He is survived by:

Daughter - Robin Little of Acworth
Sister - Dorothy Rusk of Woodstock
Sister - Barbara Nix of Ball Ground
Sister - Shirley Bobo of Canton
Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite charity.
