Jane Frances Sanders

Jane Ballenger Sanders, 88, of Marietta, passed away on June 20, 2024. Jane will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Marietta First Baptist Church for over 80 years where she sang in the choir and served in many other volunteer positions. She attended West Georgia College and graduated from Carson Newman College. She spent 35 years in the field of education and media specialist. She ended her long career at Lewis Elementary in Cobb County where the Media Center was dedicated to her at her retirement. She was predeceased by her parents Inez and Barney Ballenger, sister, Nancy Meyer and niece Tina Meyer. Jane is survived by her husband of over 60 years Charles; her son and his wife, Charles, Jr and Linda; their children, Ashleigh, Nick, Jonathan and Lindsay; her son and his wife Rodney and Lynn, and their children Aleksandra, Austin, Bryce and Libby; and nephew Trey Meyer of Chicago. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 27th at First Baptist Church in Marietta. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 1:55 PM.

A graveside for Jane will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064.
