Jean C. Hardin

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Maple Avenue United Methodist Church in Marietta with Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Hardin was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church since 1949. She was active in Fellowship Class, Pep Club, Roswell Street Sonshiners, Chancel Choir, Children’s Department and Director of Mom’s Day Out at Maple Avenue. She was a stay at home mom by choice. After her children got in school she was able to do volunteer work in her church, the community children’s schools and volunteered for Gray Lady at Kennestone Hospital.

Survivors include her son, Mickey Hardin and his wife, Joyce of Powder Springs; daughter, Carolyn Hardin of Marietta; son, Jody Hardin and his wife, April of Kingston,GA; five grandchildren, Julie Brown and her husband, Lee, Melissa Arnold and her husband, Robert, Callie Hardin, Savannah Hardin, Cody Hardin; three great-grandchildren, Michael Arnold, Cassie Arnold, Ashton Brown; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hardin, Jr.

Family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Maple Avenue United Methodist Church in Marietta.
