Jesse Edward Chaffin, age 96 of Marietta, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024. Funeral service will be 12 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Randy Cheek officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Chaffin was born in Ellenwood, Georgia and was a retired 911 Supervisor with Bellsouth/AT&T. He was a member of Marietta First Baptist Church, which he loved dearly. He enjoyed charity work along with gardening. He especially loved his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Chaffin is survived by daughters Maribeth Brand (Robert), and Melissa Fouts (Tim); son Scott Chaffin (Jude); brother Grady Chaffin; sister Bobbie Wetzel; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday before the service from 10:30 AM until service time.
