Leon Winifred Ivey

Leon Ivey, was born February 22, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama. He is married to Mrs. Bonnie Barnes Ivey. Leon Ivey was a mechanic for Bowman Trucking. He also did many other jobs. He loved working in his garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by: Daughter, Sherry Lynn Blary: His Parents; Brother, Mr. Willie and Sister, Pat.

He is survived by: Wife, Mrs. Bonnie Ivey; Son, Mr. Christopher Leon Ivey; Daughter, Bonnie Chastain; Grandchildren, Timothy Shone McDonald, Thomas Nicholas McDonald (Heather), Lyric Gordon, Kayla Herron (Jason), Kara Sutton, Kaycee Fore (Jason), Aaron Blary and Anna Blary; Great Grandchildren, Peyton McDonald, Andrew McDonald, Landon Porretto, Jake McDonald, Ryan Sutton, Cheyenne Herron, Cooper Sutton, Sophia Fore, Josie Fore, Adalee Herron; Sisters, Mable Holbrook and Pearl Schultz; Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Leon Ivey will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 1:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park

Visitation for Leon Ivey will be Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
