Pamela, known to all as “Pame,” was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Family members include her parents, Andrew and Jessica Gaston, brothers Elias and Isaac Gaston, maternal grandparents Abner and Deanna Salas, paternal grandparents Mark and Julianne Gaston, uncle and aunt Aaron and Megan Gaston, cousin Madelyn Gaston, and extended family in Georgia, Illinois, and Ohio. Pamela will also be missed in her circles at Grace Community Church and The Stonehaven School.
Born in El Rama, Nicaragua on March 18, 2004, Pame spent her early childhood in Costa Rica, unfortunately enduring trauma that left deep scars. God provided a caring home for her at Hogar Cristiana orphanage in Puntarenas, Costa Rica at the age of 8. Pame continued living there until the age of 11, when the Lord providentially connected her through an adoption agency with her forever family, the Gastons.
At her new home in Marietta, Georgia, Pame enrolled at Cumberland Christian Academy, and two years later at The Stonehaven School where she attended through her sophomore year. Her favorite subjects at Stonehaven were Spanish and Practica Classes (culinary, fitness, and improv). Pame also enjoyed serving through the school volunteer program, giving homework help to Hispanic children from the community. Stonehaven School recognized her desire to serve others with a special stone engraved with the word Generosity to commemorate her kind-heartedness.
In addition to her school activities, Pame loved playing recreational soccer and cheering on the US Women’s team and Costa Rica’s national team, an interest shared with her dad and brothers.
