Ruth Hagood Chaffin, 85, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 1st at Mayes Ward-Dobbins funeral home, Marietta Chapel with Rev. Randy Cheek officiating. Interment will follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park cemetery in Marietta, GA.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family. She was a member of Olive Springs Baptist Church and the Sweet Spirit Singers.
Mrs. Chaffin is survived by two daughters, Maribeth Brand and her husband, Robert of Marietta; Melissa Fouts and her husband, Tim of Kennesaw, son, Scott Chaffin and his wife, Judy of Daphne, AL, sister. Mildred Williams of Marietta, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Contributions can be made to Olive Springs Baptist Church in honor of Ruth Chaffin.
