Angie Merricks Hatchett, 83, of Georgia and formerly of Martinsville, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, Georgia. She was born in Callands, Virginia, June 2, 1929 to Walter B. and Mabel Wells Merricks. She was a graduate of Callands High School and Cincinnati Bible College. Angie was a past member of Stone Memorial Christian Church and Rich Acres Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmage M. Hatchett; one sister, Janice Eggleston; four brothers, Gary Merricks, David Merricks, W. B. Merricks Jr. and Obie Merricks.
She is survived by one daughter, Beth Trollinger; four sons, Tim York, Thom York, Jerry York and Terry York; one sister, Peggy Davenport; one brother, Trent Merricks; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville.
A graveside service will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park.
