Dan Christopher Huffman

Dan Christopher Huffman, 65, of Axton, Virginia passed away Monday March 14, 2016. Chris was born in Millersburg, Ohio, on February 5, 1951 to Daniel Adam Huffman and Mary Jane Haley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Knight Quickle and Florence Coleman; and his beloved grandmother, Esther Haley Pabst.

Moving to Virginia as a young man, he graduated from Martinsville High School in1969 and served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for many years at Tultex in Martinsville, Virginia. He enjoyed his family and a life filled with many hobbies and interests.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years Christine, son Chad Walker, daughter Amber Fulcher; grandchildren, Dylan Walker, Kelsey Fulcher, Sierra Fulcher, Seth Fulcher; two brothers, Rev. David Huffman and his wife Elizabeth Ellen, and Garth Harris and his wife Sheila; his stepfather Tom Harris; niece Caroline Harris; nephews, Jonathan Huffman and Phillip Huffman; and one great niece, Willow Huffman.

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at McKee-Stone Funeral home in Martinsville. Reverend David Huffman will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
