Donald Lee Eanes

Donald Lee Eanes, 58, of Martinsville climbed the stairway to Heaven on April 2, 2019 at Liberty Hospital in Missouri after a long battle against multiple health issues. Donald was born on March 14, 1961 to the late John M. Eanes and the late Christine Eanes. He grew up in the Chatham Heights area and graduated in 1979 from Martinsville High School. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and his older brother, Michael (Mike) “Possum” Eanes. Donald is survived by a daughter, Megan Eanes Vernon and son-in-law Andrew Vernon; two granddaughers, Arielle Mitchell and Adelyn Campbell; older brother John “Johnny” Eanes of Liberty Missouri; and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at McKee-Stone Funeral Home of Martinsville at 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 14, 2019. The family will receive visitors at the Eanes Family home, located at 929 Banks Road, Martinsville, VA 24112. A private ceremony for close friends and family will be held at a later date.
