Edward Scott White

Edward Scott “Scotty” White, 44, of 1167 Laurel Lane, Collinsville, Virginia, died Monday, October 10, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County. He was born in Danville, Virginia on October 15, 1966 to B. Scott White and Jane Shorter White both of Collinsville, Virginia. He was a graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School and Danville Community College. He was employed by Solutia with 13 years of service and was a member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his half-brother, Harry “Woody” Brown, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melinda Motes White of the home; two daughters, Tabatha Gwyn White and Madison Renee White both of the home; his brother, Russell Todd White of Maryland and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen White of Martinsville.

The funeral service will be held Friday, October 14, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Hill Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Moss officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends, Thursday night from 6 – 8:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville.
