

Fredrick “Ralph” Nash, 78, of 995 Clover Road, Ridgeway, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born in Stanleytown on October 28, 1932 to the late Fredrick Lawson Nash and Zora Lee “Lelia” Jamison Nash. He served in the United States Navy and was retired after several years working in the warehouse for Warren Trucking Company of Ridgeway and farming. Ralph is remembered as being a devout Christian.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Wayne Nash.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Nash of the home, his step-mother, Ella Nash of Collinsville, one son, Jeffery William Nash and wife Heidi of Orlando Florida, one sister and Brother-in-law, Doris Nash Morris and husband Aubrey of Bassett, one sister-in-law, Iris Lee Marohn of Greensboro, NC., one step sister, Carolyn Weaver of Hickory, NC., one step brother, Bobby Carter of Bassett, two grandchildren, William “Will” Alexander Nash and Elayne Irene Nash, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Martinsville Chapel of Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Mateer and Reverend Jim Churchwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park, with full military honors provided by the Martinsville-Henry Co. Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at 12:30p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to service in the Martinsville Chapel of Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home.
