Hazel was called "Nannie" by most of the family and she was known as Nannie to me as well. We became very close over the last 24 years as I was her granddaughter-in-law. I never had the opportunity to enjoy grandparents of my own so I adopted her as my grandma. We enjoyed our trips to the grocery store, barbecue restaurant and other over the years. She also looked forward to those annual trips to Lowe's to get flowers for her beautiful yard. Nannie always had a funny story to tell from her past "in the country" up in Henry and her DuPont days, as well. Those moments together will always be cherished. She was a blessing to all who knew her and she loved her family dearly.
