

Lolene Turner Gusler, 93, of Collinsville, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at Stanleytown Health Care Center. She was born in Franklin County, February 24, 1921 to John Hunter Turner and Sue Emma Bryant Turner. Lolene was a 1938 graduate of Henry High School and retired from DuPont after 29 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Martinsville; the Mary Kirk Bible Class and WMU.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rural Rufus Gusler, Sr.; one sister, Grace Turner Smith Ingram and one brother, Cecil Andrew Turner.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Gusler Read of Martinsville; her son and daughter-in-law, Rural R. Gusler, Jr. and Leslie of Forked River, NJ; two sisters, Lena Turner Pigg of Martinsville and Erma Lou Turner Young of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren, R. R. Gusler, III “Chip” and Alison Gusler Lutz and husband Christopher F. Lutz; five great-grandchildren, Travis Drew Gusler, James Hunter Gusler, Paige Elizabeth Lutz, Matthew Christopher Lutz and Alexander Grace Lutz and four great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 25, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee-Stone Chapel with the Rev. John Fulcher and the Rev. Daniel Willson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
