Philip G Haynes

Philip Gordon Haynes, 74, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was born in Martinsville April 29, 1949 to the late Thomas Gordon Haynes and Josephine Eggleston Haynes. He is survived by his sister, Darnae Haynes Ayers, his niece, Tammy Lynn Delong; nephew, Robert Lee Watson; great nieces, great nephews; and many great friends. Philip retired from the Henry County School System where he was a teacher for 36 years. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 on Friday, May 3, 2024 at McKee Stone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm and will be officiated by Pastor Joe Collins. An interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCabe Memorial Baptist Church, 107 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, VA 24112 The family is very appreciative of the excellent care provided to Philip by caregivers, Sarah Brown, Rebecca Turner and Rosa Loredo.
