

Rebecca Ayscue Woody Camden, 81, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Henderson, North Carolina, June 8, 1933 to William Robert Ayscue and Mary Ella Hughes Ayscue. Becky taught school in the Martinsville City School System as well as in North Carolina. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Martinsville and formerly Starling Avenue Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. John William Woody; her second husband, Dr. Claude V. Camden and a step-daughter, Jill Camden Hooker.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Lynn and Tom Fitzgibbons of Martinsville and Mary Linda Woody of Reidsville, NC; step-daughter, Lynn Camden Paarmann and husband, Herman of Palm Coast, FL; step-daughter-in-law, Betty Camden of Wytheville; step-son, Dr. Vic Camden of Wytheville; sister, Dorothy Lassiter of Henderson, NC; seven grandchildren, Mary Taylor Setliff and husband, Andrew, Ann Hughes Braja and husband, Misha, John Graham Fitzgibbons, Emily Paarmann, Eric Camden and wife, Jessica, R. J. Hooker and wife, Kathy, Claudia Hooker and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 18th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mckee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville and other times at the residence on Mulberry Road.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Starling Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Vicki B. Tamer officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Henderson, NC.
