Robert Terry Gilbert

Robert T. “Terry” Gilbert, age 60, of Martinsville died Saturday, August 30, 2014 in Martinsville.He was born January 15, 1954 in Martinsville, VA to James Monroe Gilbert and Peggy Ann Thornton Gilbert, who both preceded him in death.

Mr. Gilbert was the owner and operator of Gilbert Heating and Air for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Sharon C. Gilbert, of Martinsville; 3 sons: Russell Gilbert of St. Petersburg, Florida; Ashley Gilbert of Martinsville and Quinton Gilbert and his wife, Tasey, of Rocky Mount, VA; four grandchildren: Camryn, Summer, Hayden and Alyssa; his Uncle, Robert T. Thornton, Jr. and wife Aliene and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at 904 Clarke Road, Martinsville at other times.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Roselawn Burial Park with Dr. Greg Hodges officiating.
