In addition to his parents, Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Brown and brother, Reverend Eugene Lawson.
Mr. Lawson was a general contractor and owner of S & H Construction Co. He was a past member of the Civil Air Patrol.
Surviving are his wife, Judy McBride Lawson; daughter Sarah Adkins of Martinsville, stepdaughters, Wendy Gilbert of Collinsville, Robin Barham and husband Gary of Kannapolis, N.C.; sister Debbie Morris of WV.; brothers Donald Wayne Lawson of Michigan and Garry Lawson; and grandchildren, Cierra, Jacob, Zachary and Makenna.
The funeral will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at McKee Stone Chapel with Pastor Alvin Nunley officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at McKee Stone Funeral from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
