

William Edward “Bill” Kibler, Sr., 81, of Martinsville and formerly of Spencer, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center, where he was a resident. He was born in Trainer, Pennsylvania, October 21, 1930, to Earl Ray Kibler and Gladys Mae Morrison Kibler, both deceased. He served in the Army/Air Force during the Korean Conflict where he earned the rank of Staff Sgt. He retired from Nationwide Homes as Maintenance Supervisor. Bill was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church and attended Friendly Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Clifton Kibler.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Katherine Holloway Kibler, of Blue Ridge Manor in Martinsville; one daughter, Ellen Kibler Harris and husband, Glenn of Danville; one son, William Edward “Ed” Kibler, II of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Amy Devonshire, Jeremy Edward Kibler, Jonathan Paul-William Kibler and wife, Emma, William Joshua Daniel Kibler and wife, Sara, James Edward Kibler, Beth Marsh, Lynn Mowery and husband Dave; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Devonshire, Mitzi Marsh, Andrew McCain, Arthur Puckett, Aaron Puckett and wife Sasha and Meagan Puckett; a brother-in-law, Robert “Bobby” Holloway and wife, Patricia of Glade Valley, NC and a special brother and sister, Irvin and Geneva Eanes of Martinsville.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville where the family will receive friends beginning at 12 Noon prior to the funeral service.
Interment will follow in Stella Christian Church Cemetery in Patrick County.
