

Born September 11, 1934 to Michael and Donna Ellison, Betty grew up in Lansing, Michigan. A graduate of Eastern High School in 1952. Faithful to her community, Betty worked and volunteered for several organizations in the area including the Michigan State Police, Ingham Co. Health Dept. - WIC, Meals on Wheels, the Humane Society, and also served as President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7309.
Betty met her Husband, George, in Lansing. Together they lived in Mason and had six children. Betty greatly impacted the lives of her children and grandchildren sharing with them her kindness and generosity, as well as her love of animals, dancing, and delicious food. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her Husband George, her Children, Cynthia (Darrius), Terry (Scott), Heidi (Tom), Carl (Kim), Jennie (Richard), and Donna (Matt); her Grandchildren, Angela, Morgan, Erin, Kyle, Hannah, Victoria, Michael, Kate and four Great Grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her Parents, Michael (1990) and Donna (2007), Brothers, Michael (2021) and Jack (1936), and several other loved ones.
Services will take place at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes at 621 S. Jefferson St. Mason, MI on Tuesday, March 29 at 12:00 PM with public visitation starting at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow at 1:30 PM at 1243 Hull Rd. Mason, MI. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the Capital Area Humane Society by mailing to 7095 W.
