Christian (Chris) Stock, 84 of Mason, MI passed away on November 20th, 2016. He was born June 16th, 1932 in Furth, Germany. In 1958 he, his wife and two young boys immigrated to the United States with nothing except the skilled trade profession of a diesel mechanic. They eventually settled in Michigan and he joined the U.S. Navy Reserves and proudly served his country for 30+ years retiring as a Senior Chief. He finished his career as a Motor Pool Supervisor at Michigan State University. He has always stayed heavily engaged with the Navy brethren. His family grew in 2002 when he married his second wife, Elfriede Ganser-Stock. Chris was very proud of his family and actively participated in the lives of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Marrianne Stock and step-granddaughter, Sarina Ganser. He is survived by his wife, Elfriede Ganser-Stock; sons, Manfred Stock and Rudi (Karen) Stock; stepsons, Peter (Kathy) Ganser and Robert Ganser; grandchildren, Sallie (Brian) Thrush, Michael Stock, Melissa (Dan) Metts, Christopher (Kristin) Stock, Jonathan (Danielle DiPietro) Stock; Matthew (Sarah) Ganser, Nick (Tara) Ganser, Timothy (Adrienne Botsford) Ganser, Mark (Jennifer) Ganser, Emili (Jon Reel) Ganser; step-grandchildren, Ryan and Caitlin Miller; great-grandchildren, Danielle and Chase Metts, Makayla and Gabrielle Thrush, Clayton and Nicole Stock, Colt and Blain Stock, Brooklyn and Braxton Stock, Preston and Jarrett Ganser, Madison and Conner Ganser, Madelyn and Kynlee Ganser; and great-great-grandchild; Brinley Albin.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the St. James Catholic Church, 1010 S. Lansing St., Mason, MI with the Fr. Kusi Cobona officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI.
