Age 78, died July 17, 2014; born January 27, 1936 to Kenneth and Rose (Baker) Slusser in Lansing, MI. He was a resident of Mason for 59 years. He served in the National Guard, was a farmer and employed with Michigan National Bank as a carpenter for 27 years. Claude was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting and camping. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family meant the world to him. He is survived by wife of 59 years, Carilyn; daughter, Cherri (Ray) Barth; sons, Ed (Barb) Slusser, Clint (Veronika) Slusser; 7 grandchildren, Jackilyn (Shaun) Alverson, Ashlee (Jeremy) Drumm, Kaysie Hoefling, Paige (Steve) Kallman, Johanna (Tyler) Greenway, Josiah Slusser, Sharidan Barth; 2 great grandchildren, Daniel Barth, Harlow Grace Alverson; brother, Gary (Pat) Slusser; and sister, Joann (Lloyd) Stoner. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mason First Church of the Nazarene, 415 E. Maple, Mason, MI with the Rev. Gerhard Weigelt officiating. Visitation will be at the Church one hour prior to the service. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Mason First Church of the Nazarene, Recreational Outreach Center, 415 E. Maple Street.
