Cora retired after thirty years at Michigan Bell Telephone. She spent her retirement years traveling the world, finding delight in the wonders of Africa, Russia, India, China and beyond. Cora never stopped marveling at the magnificence of America. With camera in hand, she toured each of our fifty states, capturing nature at its finest. She had a special fondness for Arizona, but never stopped admiring the beauty of her home state.
Cora is survived by her brother, Donald Fraim, a longtime resident of Soldotna, Alaska, and numerous cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and young brother, Lavern Fraim, and her former husband, Valentine Pomaranski. Cora had a deep faith in God, loved the Lord—and His children. She often said, "I want to feed the hungry children." Her final wishes will do just that in a number of orphanages throughout the world.
She remained living independently, enjoying many friendships, before moving into Craft Care Home in Holt, Michigan, for the last two months of her life. Her family is thankful for the care she received from its loving staff, who appreciated her unique personality. And, for the added comfort and support given by Compassionate Care nurses.
At her request, there will be no funeral. A private graveside interment has been arranged by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Mason Chapel.
