David will be greatly missed; he had a heart of gold, talent for days, and a sense of humor that will never be forgotten. His ways of entertaining and loving his family and friends will forever be with those who knew him.
David grew up in Mason, Michigan where he also attended school. After high school he went on to work as an auto body repairman, painter and mechanic for over 25 years. He eventually started his own business, Paintworks Plus, and helped others with auto repairs and body work often. David enjoyed racing cars, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, riding quads, mud bogging, playing with his dogs, fixing cars, and boating. He also received his ASE Certification in every available category and prided himself as being “Mr. Outside Dave Bollis” when racing and even went on to win the championship title at Spartan Speedway for the Street Stock Series in 1997.
David was preceded in death by his mother and father, Carole and Ray Bollis.
David is survived by his daughter, Kayla (Charles) Hixon, siblings Kristy Bollis, (Orville Williams) and Ray (Connie) Bollis, nieces Brooke Bollis, Angela Bush, nephews Brandon (Lindsey) Bollis, Mark Seamon, and Steve (Shelby) Bush, extended family Jackie Williams, Christina Bywater, and Ruth Parsons, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
