Edward Morton Taylor

He was born May 10, 1946 to Edward and Mary Taylor of Jackson, Michigan. Ed started his career at Yard-Man in Jackson then transitioned to owning Taylor Lawn and Garden in Pleasant Lake in the mid 70’s. In the 80’s, he moved to the automotive business and after a long, successful career, his love for the equine industry, that began in the late 70’s, paved a way to two successful endeavors, Crest View Farm and Crest View Tack Shop. Ed lived life to the fullest, his personality and sense of humor made an impact on all those who met him.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; his son, Steven Taylor; daughter, Angela (Addam) Kilpatrick; son, Rick (June) Stevens; son, Rob (Brian) Stevens; daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Nixon; daughter, Kelly (Rob) Mantek; grandchildren, Kierstin, Xander and Gianna Kilpatrick, Niki (James) Meyers, Tony (Sherry) Stevens, Austin (Breanna) Stevens, Audri (Jake) Kocan, Matt (Francesca) Stevens, JD (Jenni) Nixon, Justin Nixon, Dominic (Tesa) Nixon, Kelsy (Drake) Mitchell, Abby Mantek and Ethan Mantek; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Liz, Zach, Sarah, Mariah, Ana, Malachi, Elliot, Alex, Emmy, Alina, Nico, Joey, Jensen, Kenly and Kayden; great-great-grandchild, Liam; sister, Diane Barber; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward; his mother, Mary; and his sisters, Ida, Shirley, Judy and Edna.

The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 621 S Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Ingham County Fairgrounds Community Hall, 700 E Ash St., Mason, MI 48854, immediately followed by a luncheon at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ingham County Fair Foundation. Checks can be made payable to ICFF with Ed Taylor in the memo section and sent to 700 E Ash St., Mason, MI. 48854. Any donations made in his name will be earmarked for youth programs.
