Elsie Lee Bandura

Elsie Lee Bandura, 96, of Mason Mi passed away on August 16th 2024. She was born in Lansing Mi to the late Carl and Alice Hoeflinger. Elsie Lee was an active member in the community over the years. She always enjoyed helping others. She spent years of her life driving around and delivering food to area shelters, and volunteering her time at Ingham Regional Hospital. She was an active member for years in the Golden K Kiwanis Club. She was also selected as a recipient of the WILX Top 10 people who care award in the Lansing Area in 1998.

Elsie Lee worked for years as a school bus driver for Holt and Mason Public Schools. She also spent years working her own farm stand, Bandura's Fresh Produce, while also working at Darrell's Supermarket in Mason Mi.

Elsie Lee enjoyed playing cards, bowling, golfing, softball, and spending as much time as she could out in the garden. She met so many people over the years and was loved by many. When she wasn't spending her time outdoors, she loved watching any sport on TV or reading.

Elsie Lee was survived by her children, Rick Bandura, and Robin Bullen of Mason, her grandchildren Heidi(Stanley) Grant of Mason, Jacob (Kristian) Bullen of Leslie, Geordi Bullen of Mason, and her great grandchildren, Collin and Kaylee Grant, and Ashlynne and Logan Bullen.

Elsie Lee is preceded in death by her husband, George Bandura, brother Delmas Hoeflinger, son in law, Craig Bullen, and parents Carl and Alice Hoeflinger.

A family celebration of life dinner will be held at a yet to be determined date. Any donations can be made to the family to help cover final expenses.

ElsieLee was a sassy gem, with a heart of gold, that will be truly missed by all.
