Eric Emmons Allaire

Eric Emmons Allaire passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the age of 49. He was the son of Paul and Kathy (Wilson) Allaire. Eric loved to play, coach and watch basketball. At Hillsdale College he set and still holds the all-time scoring record of 2,174 career points. He was All American his junior and senior years and is a member of the Hillsdale College Sports Hall of Fame. Eric joyfully assisted the Mason basketball program at various levels for many years. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents Bernard and Melva Wilson; Leo and Margaret Allaire. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving parents, his wife and soul mate; LeeAnn (LaManna) Allaire; son, Emmons Paul Allaire; sisters, Carrie (Steve) Tourangeau and ShannLynn Bates; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI with Steven Tourangeau officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason, MI. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
