He is preceded in death by his wife Frances Connor who passed away on September 15, 2018. Together they shared a joyous and loving marriage of 55 years; parents, Edus and Gladys (Rounds) Connor; stepfather, Jerry Cervinka; and son, Randy Connor.
Gary is survived by his son, Michael Connor; daughter, Patty Schultz; grandson, Ted; and sister, Janet (Mason) Mooney.
Gary served 8 years in the US Air Force working on Bombers, B-17's, navigation and instrumental systems. He later retired from MSU Department of Agricultural Engineering. Gary loved computers, golfing and bowling. He had a pilot’s license, great sense of humor and was a member of a gun club and the Mason Senior Club. Gary had a favorite location he frequented for breakfast as often as he could. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854 with Rev. Josh Goodman officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the funeral home.
