Gertrude Irene Hills

Age 95, died October 28, 2012; she was born February 3, 1917 in Leslie Township, Michigan to Charles and Alice (Stid) Parker. Gertrude retired from Sparrow Hospital after 13 years as an LPN. She previously worked at Mason General Hospital for 19 years. She was a member of the Mason Art Guild for 40 years; a member of the Dansville United Methodist Church and enjoyed painting and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 1978; daughter Ruth Ann Cook; and daughter-in-law, Arline Hills; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughter Janet L. (Mansil) Raymond; 1 son, Pete Hills; son-in-law Russell Cook; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildern and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dansville United Methodist Church, 1317 Mason Street, Dansville, MI 48819 with the Rev. Steve Ezop, Chaplain of Heartland Hospice, officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI.
