Born August 5, 1943 to Hugh and Dorothy (McGrain) Brayton, he lived a beautiful and fulfilling life with his wife, Linda Brayton. His presence and love will be missed dearly by all who loved him.

"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jacqueline Doerr. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brayton; his little furbaby, Lily; daughters, JoAnn (Orlan) Reed, Amy (Scott) Schuster; sons, James (Tina) Brayton, Scott (Audrey) Brayton, John Dunham, and Todd Brayton; his many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Brayton; sister, Janice (Fred) Shewchuck.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 10, 2025, at 3:00 pm at St. James Catholic Church, 1010 S. Lansing St., Mason, MI.
In lieu of flowers and donations, the family merely requests your presence and prayers.
