Janeita Bloom passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026 at Stoneleigh Hospice House in Lansing, MI. She was born on May 30, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to Clarence and Elizabeth Lang. She was a homemaker who filled her younger days with working for Tupperwear, Avon, and House of Lloyd, all while raising her three sons with her husband William; they had William III, Mark, and James. Not to mention opening her home to extended family, and all the boys’ friends that would wander in. You always knew if you were at her home or in her presence, you were cared for like one of her own. She loved to have a house full, and prided herself in a driveway full of cars and bikes. After her boys grew up, and her husband retired from GM, she had many things that brought her joy, whether that be, spending time with family, going to breakfast, going to or having garage sales, watching soap operas, or working hours on end on word searches. Janeita was one of the sassiest red heads you would ever encounter, just ask her kids, grandkids, or anyone that ever took care of her. But, behind all of her sass, she was one of the most caring people you would ever know. She would do anything she could for anyone at any given time, all you would have to do was ask.
Janeita is survived by her two sons; William III and James. Grandsons; Dylan and Mark II. Granddaughters; Madison, Elainey, and Lilly. Janeita has 16 great-grandkids! Janeita is preceded in death by her husband; William, Brother; James Lang, son; Mark, and grandson; Branden.
Services will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes in Mason, MI on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Visitation will start at 10 am until 12 pm, then the funeral to follow. After the Services we will proceed to Maple Grove Cemetery for the burial. After, we will all go to Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Lansing at 1902 E. Cavanaugh Rd. for a luncheon.
