Joann was born December 28, 1932 in Lansing, MI. She went on to graduate from Williamston High School, and married Gerald R. Nowlin. Together they raised their son, Jerry, in Dansville, MI. Joann enjoyed cooking, baking, coloring, and traveling with friends.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Florean Ambler; her husband and son; her brothers, Robert and John; sisters-in law, Alona, Norma, Janet, and Joyce. She is survived by her brothers, Adrian (Rose), Eugene; sister, Jackie (Clarence); several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
The family would like to say 'Thank you' to the friendly staff at Ingham County Medical Care Facility of Okemos, for the wonderful care that was given to Joann. It was greatly appreciated.
