John "Jack" D. Halbert

Born May 15, 1933 in Grand Ledge, Michigan to Ralph and Gladys (Niles) Halbert, passed away on January 1, 2018, at the age of 84. John was a resident of Mason all his life. He was a graduate of Dansville High School. John retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. He loved bowling and golf. John liked all sports and enjoyed watching them on tv.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife, Frances Halbert in 1994. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Patricia (Robert) Hills; three grandchildren, Brett (Susan) Hills, Jamie (Becky) Hills, Kelly (Shawn) Beck; five great-grandchildren, Tiffany Hills, Kerstin Hills, Emily Hills, Haley Beck, Andrew Hills; and brother, Mac (Peggy) Halbert.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854. Interment to follow at Markham Cemetery in Holt.
