Jordan Alsing Jensen “Don”, born February 14, 1934 in Manhattan, New York, died March 19, 2013, in Mason, MI. He was the son of Emil A. and Gertrude E. Jensen. Jordan worked for the Olofsson Corp. for 47.7 years as a Journeyman Machine Builder and Repairman. He started as a co-op student in Sept. 1951 and retired in 1999. He was Chairman of the bargaining Committee for many years. In his retirement he enjoyed photography, working in his yard, and listening to his Jazz collection. Most of all “Bumpa” enjoyed going to the grandchildren’s activities. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jordan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lenore. They were blessed with 3 daughters, Leedona (Hal) Miller, Teena (Tom) Barnhill, Leesa (David) Helbig; 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Popard, Derek (Heather) Miller, Angela (Nate) Gurley, BreeAnn (Jack) Hooker, Robert Barnhill, Nichole Hein, Jenna (Corey) Wey, George Hein, Brianna (Tom) McDiarmid and LJ Helbig. Jordan and Lenore were also blessed with several beautiful great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Contributions in his memory may be made to McLaren Hospice, 2316 S. Cedar, Suite 600, Lansing, MI 48910.
