Loren Byron Wigman

Age 86, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2015. He was born at the farm in Holt, Michigan on November 6, 1928, the loving son of Byron and Cora (Arend) Wigman. He was a loving husband of JoAnn for 64 years and a dear father to Michael (Bonnie) Wigman and Cindy (Jim Carter) Wigman. Loren was a dear brother of Evelyn Howe and Florence Peterson and was loved by many nieces and nephews. Loren was preceded in death by daughter Sue Ellen and son David, as well as daughter-in-law Connie Robison Wigman.

Loren graduated from Holt High School in 1946. He retired from Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #333. Loren enjoyed spending time with his family, playing tennis, golf and playing cribbage with his nephew Doug. He also enjoyed MSU’s football and basketball games. Loren will always be remembered for his kindness and great sense of humor.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Aurelius Baptist Church, 4419 W. Barnes Road, Mason, MI 48854 with Pastor Stephen Aikin officiating. Interment will take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral services at the church. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for contributions to be made to the Aurelius Baptist Church or to one’s choice. A special thanks to Sparrow Home Care and Sparrow Hospice.
