She was born in Lansing Michigan on May 28, 1940 and was a lifelong resident of the Lansing area, except for a couple years in Tampa, Florida in the mid-80s.
She had a passion for music. She sang in church choirs and played the piano. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Psychology. She worked for the Michigan Department of Management & Budget until retiring in 2000. She loved to go dancing and lived life her way.
She is survived by her four children, Judith (Harry) Snell, Andrew Stowell, Gerard Stowell, and Daniel Stowell, granddaughter Ashley Reader, five great-granddaughters, her sister Teresa Fata, brother Samuel (Monica) Castellani, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Francesco and Mildred Castellani, grandson Gabriel Mix, and longtime partner James Denny.
Memorial Mass at St. Gerard Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy., Lansing, Thursday, Jan. 20 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation before Mass at 12:30 p.m.
