Born to George Montgomery and Maxine Meyer, Norma was also raised by her stepfather, Merv Meyer. She graduated from high school and later married Norman Cornette, with whom she shared a family.
Norma was a devoted mother to her daughters, Katrina Sneed and Janet Louise and her children; and a loving grandmother to Nicole Verdulla. She was preceded in death by her son Ron Cornette; her parents, Maxine Meyer and George Montgomery; her brother, Jack Meyer;
A woman of deep faith, Norma was a Baptist who found great joy in her love for the Lord, her family, and her friends. She had a kind and generous spirit that touched many lives. She spent nearly six years at Holt Senior Care and Rehab, where she formed close bonds with those around her. Prior to that, she lived at Jefferson Street Square for 20 years. Her best friend, Patricia Steep, held a special place in her heart.
Norma enjoyed country music—especially the songs of Conway Twitty—working on puzzle books, and savoring pizza. Her warmth and kindness made her a beloved presence in the lives of many.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the teams at Holt Senior Care & Rehab, and Careline Hospice. Their dedication to Norma's care was exemplary.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
