Pearley Franklin Wilder, born October 2, 1940 in Corning, Ohio, passed away on September 19, 2018 in Mason, Michigan. He married his wife, Marjorie Jane (Wildt), of 53 years on July 3, 1965. They had two children, Brenda (Stephen) Hopper and Martin (Stacey) Wilder. His greatest enjoyment came from his wife, children, and grandchildren; Logan and Jaylyn Wilder. He is survived by brother James "Fred" (Sheila "Shelly") Wilder, sisters Elizabeth "Liz" (Robert) Fierke, Jamie Wilder, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Ellen Karns.
Professionally, he was most proud of the relationships with businesses and families formed while working as the branch manager of a savings and loan in Mason. Most importantly, he was a beloved husband and father, only missing family dinner on Kiwanis nights. A lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians, his passion for sports more recently extended to watching his grandchildren participate in karate and play baseball, soccer, and volleyball.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Visitation at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason on Sunday, September 30th from 2-5 pm. The final resting place will be at Albion Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Habitat for Humanity,1941 Benjamin Dr., Lansing, MI 48906.
