Age 90, died August 28, 2014; born to Lillith Eva (Curd) and Raymond Leslie House on April 30, 1924 in Lansing, Michigan. Phyllis retired from Vandervoorts in Lansing, Michigan. She played the organ, taught Sunday school and worked side by side with her husband, John, and later her daughter Carolyn at Wayside Ministries in Mason. MI. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John A. Kennedy on November 16, 2003; granddaughter, Julie Marie Hastings; son-in-law James Hastings; brothers, Alvin and Earl House. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Hastings of Lansing, Patricia (Glenn) Coleman of Williamston; son, Larry (Maria) Kennedy of Mason; sister, Irene (Merel) Hartman of Haslett; 5 grandsons, 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wayside Chapel Ministries, 518 N. College Rd., Mason, MI with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Lansing, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Church.
