Robert Edward "Ed" Moore, age 75, of Mason, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 due to ALS. First born son of Robert and Deana Moore on May 3, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan. He lived most of his adult life and childhood in Mason area. He graduated from Mason High School in 1966 and from Lansing Community College in 1968. He joined the Navy in November 1968, then soon after hired into General Motors (Oldsmobile) in January 1969. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Kay Anderson, on May 3, 1969 at the Methodist Church in Mason.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in the yard, painting cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Navy Sea Bee and made (before retirement) Master Chief. He retired from the Navy in November 1998, after 30 years and Oldsmobile in 2009 after working there for 41½ years.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra; daughter Christina (Kirk) Spencer; estranged daughter Shelley (Norm) VanTuyles; and son Timothy "Tim" (Misty) Moore; and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Deana Moore; brothers William, Donald, and recently Stanford "Stan" Moore; sister Diana Moore.
