Age 76, entered into her eternal glory on Saturday, October 1, 2011. She was born on May 11, 1935 in Owosso to Donald and Eleanor (Townsend) Peterson. Sharon loved her Lord and family above all else. “Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy” (Psalm 5:11). Sharon served as a real estate agent for many years and found true joy in helping young couples find the perfect home. She was a longtime member of Holt Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and short-term mission trips with the church. She is survived by her seven children, Charley (Yvonne), John (Kellie), Tom (Charmayne), Steve (Patti), Scott (Barb), Peggy (Tom) Wassner and Patty (Greg) Kirchmeier; 20 grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Ann Peterson, Nancy Peterson-Gallegos, Elizabeth (Bob) Rathbun, and Jane (Mike) Johnson and many nieces, nephews and special friends. A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Holt Baptist Church, 2020 Dean, Holt. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
