Ted Roy McEvers

Age 86, died November 29, 2012. Born November 27, 1926 in Grayling, MI to Roy and Gladys (Johnson) McEvers. He was preceded in death by his son David McEvers. Ted is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jennie; daughter Lucinda “Cyndi” McEvers of Mason; son, Roger (Julie) McEvers of Portage; 6 grandchildren; brother Gerald (Shirley) McEvers of Traverse City; 2 sisters, Louann (Robert) Niederer of Houghton Lake, and Victoria (Richard) Gasho of Larkspur, CO. Ted was a World War II Veteran with the Army Air Corp, stationed at Okinawa. He was a mechanic for the family business, McEvers Motor Sales in Grayling and also for the National Guard. He was a State Farm Independent Agent for over 21 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Charity Baptist Church, 2899 Holt Rd., Mason, MI with interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 3, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charity Baptist Church. Contributions in Ted’s memory may be made to the Church or Heartland Hospice, 865 S.
