Trina Ballard, 52, passed away October 23, 2014. She was born in Mason on May 13, 1962 to Phillip E. and Marlene K. (Howe) Ballard. Trina loved to knit and crochet. During her lifetime she created and donated countless hats to various hospitals including C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and the Lansing area hospitals. Trina is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Beatrice Ballard, Ronald and Ethel Howe, and step-grandmother, Dorothy Howe. Surviving to cherish her memory are her parents; her brother, Todd Ballard; and her niece and nephew, Miya and Chad Ballard.
Celebration of Life, officiated by Dr. Donald Denyes, will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11:00 am at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone, Lansing, with visitation one hour prior at the church. The family will also receive friends and relatives on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm..
